Ladies and Gentlemen, I am hereby a social deviant.

And I'm not just saying this because I joined deviantart.com. In an age where being a social deviant is normal, I intend to deviate from the deviance.

Here's the real deal: The bible calls us to be deviously deviant in Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."

I need to break out of my pattern of this world. That's gonna mean not just doing what I normally do and being good; it's gotta mean fleeing from evil, and recognizing and avoiding my personal risk situations. That means no D&D, even if it's all about whether you believe it. (sorry guys) That means no holding hands even if you only intend to be friends. (sorry gals) That means actually praying before each meal and reading my Bible instead of the latest Star Wars book. That means this isn't going to be easy - old habits die hard. But lately I've learned that for how good I am at walking the line between God and everything else, that's exactly what I'm not supposed to be doing.

So it's time that I deviate.
